tempo is a first-of-its-kind launch product by notable insulin manufacturer eli lilly. It combines the medical expertise of a pharmaceutical manufacturer with the latest advancements in personal app driven technology to help people with diabetes live their best lives

how were they made?

after playing around with the product, reading plenty of user guides, chatting with the FDA, and meeting with the client, i put together the first drafts for the scripts in word document format.

we passed those back and forth between the client, the legal teams, and my creative buddies, then my art partner and i turned the scripts into storyboards. we had to stay very flexible! the knowledge around this product and its place in the market was changing all the time…and so were the storyboards.

as the storyboards took shape we started editing together the product demonstration videos with lifestyle footage. we auditioned and directed a voice actor to narrate, and put together legal and safety copy to be displayed along with the footage. after passing medical-legal reviews and satisfying the creative impulses of the client, the videos were ready for the consumer!
